Newborn Posing Workshop {September 14 – 15, 2013}

newborn workshop

Held in my Atlanta Ga, studio, this is a 2 day newborn posing workshop limited to 5 photographers interested in learning the newborn posing skills I’ve developed from hands on experience myself. Only photographers more than 1 1/2 hours outside of the Atlanta areas are able to take this workshop. One space has been reserved for a local photographer.

~ We will go over lighting
~ Popular poses and setups and the right angles for those
~ Learn basic edits thru Photoshop and Lightroom
~ Learn where I find the props and marketing templates I use
~ Tools for soothing and comforting newborns

This is a portfolio building workshop so you will be allowed to take photos but the baby itself is only handled by me for liability reasons. You can take photos of the posing process and each step to keep as a reference.

Things you should already know: basic knowledge of shooting in manual mode on a digital SLR camera; basic knowledge of Photoshop and you should have a 50mm lens.

Lunch and snacks will be provided and some goodies will be given out.

I will also be holding a reunion workshop next summer for any past workshop attendees who want to come back and review their progress and work on perfecting their skills. This workshop is free to past attendees. My relationship with attendees does not stop after the workshop. We will stay in touch thru a private Facebook group and continue to review everyone’s work, share advice etc. and of course I’m available to answer any questions and assist along the way.

SOME REVIEWS FROM LAST YEAR’S WORKSHOP ATTENDEES:

“So grateful for the opportunity to attend Chi’s workshop as she shared some of her best practices! I had read books and watched videos about posing newborns, but being able to see it in person and then have her provide guidance on capturing the image was priceless. A little post-processing on a few of the images we took and some business small talk tied the workshop up nicely! Glad there are fellow photographers out there willing to share their knowledge and experiences with others!” ~ Mandi

“I looked for a good photography workshop for years. Finally came across her blog and signed up. I couldn’t have been happier. I felt like I got so much band and even some bling for my buck! No question you will walk away with skills needed to get those newborn shots you drool over.” ~ Adria

“OMG Chi all I have to say is THANK YOU:) you have brought me all kinds of business! I can not even believe what is coming my way. Have booked lots of babies and families. Makes you kinda feel like you might be doing something right. Thanks again for inspiring me in the photography world. I was able to go home and do everything you taught me and if I did not get it, I practiced until. No I will not be as good as you ever but you are someone who inspires me to work harder everyday. You are amazing and a great instructor. Yes I still have a long way to go but but one day at a time and I will get there, I look at where I came from a year ago until now and see major improvement.” ~ Kristie
