Do you have an office?
Yes, my home studio is located in Acworth, GA, about 30 minutes outside of Atlanta, and my hours are by appointment only. Please submit a contact form to schedule an appointment.
Is this your full time job?
Well, not counting my two kids (and my husband), yes, this is what I love to do and all that I do.
Do you charge for travel?
Travel fees will depend on the distance from Acworth, Atlanta and it’s surrounding areas. Anything outside of these areas may require a travel fee based on the mileage or air travel required. For engagement and bridal sessions, I only shoot those in the surrounding Atlanta areas. If you require outside this area, travel fees will apply.
How long will it be before my images are ready?
Sessions typically take 2-3 weeks to edit during peek shooting seasons (spring and fall). During non peek seasons it averages 2 weeks for editing. You have the option to pay an additional $100 to any session fee to rush your editing to be completed within 3 business days. Your session would be moved ahead in my editing schedule.
How will we see our images?
Your images will be online in a private password protected gallery for you and your guests/family/friends to view and purchase prints from as well. No one can access that gallery unless you give them the password. Once you have had time to view your images you can make additional editing requests such as black & white images or crops. Any editing requests that require extensive editing is priced separately. If you have purchased the DVD or Flash Drive of images with your package/session, you will receive it once we have completed any editing requests.
Can we print from the DVD & Flash Drive?
Yes, all images are high-resolution Jpegs with no watermarks. They are yours for your own personal use and come with a Client Print Release specific for you. Images can not be altered without prior approval. Any commercial use requires prior approval.
How long do you store my images?
I never want to delete your images, but I typically store them for 2 years.
What kind of equipment do you use?
I use professional Canon digital SLR bodies, Canon professional speedlights and Canon lenses. These are Canon’s finest professional lenses. And yes, I have backup equipment.
When is it best to schedule our portraits?
Newborn sessions should be scheduled by your second trimester. Birthday and Family sessions should be scheduled 3 months in advance. Fall and Spring dates book up months in advance.
What is your payment policy?
I ask for a non-refundable $100 retainer and a signed contract to book a newborn session. Event sessions like birthday parties require $100 non-refundable retainer. All other sessions require a non-refundable $25 retainer and a signed contract to hold your date. The balance of your contract is due the day of your session. I accept all payment methods. Contracts and deposits are due within one week of booking to hold your date.
